Wordle players who like to post their posts on social media to show off their wits can now do so in person. Hasbro Games and the New York Times announced an adaptation of the online word game to be called Wordle: The Party Game. They are designed to be played by multiple players or groups at your home.
Each round of Wordle: The Party Game starts with one player typing in a password. Some players will be given six tries to guess, just like they do online. The player who tries to guess the least number of passwords will get the fewest points, and the player with the fewest points at the end of the game is the winner. The game comes with three Wordle boards, a password board for the owner, and dry markers. There are also green and yellow tiles that mimic those used in online games.
It will retail for $19.99 and is available for pre-order right now at Amazon, Target, and Hasbro’s online store. Note: The Party Game should be available in stores in October, which is the one year anniversary of the game’s release to the public. Since its debut, the addictive word has been bought by the New York Times and inspired several times.
