Installation Instructions
To connect your router to the Verizon 5G Home Internet Gateway:
- Power off your Verizon 5g Internet Gateway Setup by unplugging the power adapter from the gateway.
- Remove the SIM card from the Verizon 5G Home Gateway and insert it into your compatible router.
- Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on your router and plug the other end of the cable into the WAN/port 1 port on your Verizon 5G Home Gateway.
- Plug the power adapter into your Verizon 5G Home Gateway and turn on your gateway by pressing the power button.
- Turn on your connected router.
- Once your router is turned on, follow the instructions that came with your router to connect to the 5G network.
When connecting your router to the Verizon 5G Home Internet Gateway, we recommend that you turn off WiFi on your Verizon 5G Home Gateway. To do this:
- Open a browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
- Enter admin for login and password and click Log in to the account.
- Click Advanced > Administrative Settings > Device Management in the left pane.
- In the WiFi 2.4 GHz section, select Off from the drop-down menu next to Enable SSID Broadcast.
- In the WiFi 5 GHz section, select Off from the drop-down menu next to Enable SSID Broadcast.
- Click Apply.
Now that you’ve turned off WiFi on your Verizon 5G Home Gateway, you can connect your devices to the Internet by connecting them to your router’s WiFi network.
Troubleshooting
