When Sarah Hyland wed her longtime lover, Wells Adams, over the weekend, it was a “Modern Family” reunion.
As she said “I do” to the “Bachelor in Paradise” star, the 31-year-old actress was accompanied by her on-screen family, including Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ariel Winter, and Nolan Gould.
The pair wed outdoors at the Sunstone Winery near Santa Barbara, California, according to E! News.
Vergara, who accompanied her son Manolo as a plus-one, made sure to share glimpses of the couple’s big day with her 26.5 million Instagram followers while Hyland, who played Haley Dunphy on the popular ABC sitcom, is yet to share photos from her wedding.
Vergara, who was dressed in a black and white floral dress, uploaded a photo booth image of Ferguson, his husband Justin Mikita, and Gould along with the hashtag “#sarahandwells wedding” and several heart emojis.
Ferguson also shared a photo of himself and Mikita dressed for the occasion and captioned it, “Dads night out.”
Adams and Hyland began dating in 2017 after they connected on social media, and in July 2019, he proposed in a charming manner on the beach.
The coronavirus pandemic caused the pair to repeatedly postpone their wedding, which was initially scheduled to take place in 2020.
Hyland stated back in July that she might not follow the custom of adopting her husband’s last name.
She told E! News, “My mom didn’t take my father’s last name, so that’s never been a concern for me.” “When we go on vacation and whatnot, I do prefer being referred to as “Mrs. Adams,” and if the reservation is made under his name, I think, “Oh my god, I’m so cute.” But I’m not sure. Having not made a decision.”
In 2020, “Modern Family” came to an end after 11 seasons and 22 Emmy wins. The American version of “Love Island” is currently being presented by Hyland.
