The Los Angeles Times claimed that rapper PnB Rock was fatally shot during a heist in Los Angeles on Monday.
At 1:15 p.m., police were called to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles on West Manchester Avenue in reference to a possible robbery. When they arrived, they discovered a victim who had sustained numerous gunshot wounds, Los Angeles Police Department Captain Kelly Muniz stated at a press conference.
According to law enforcement officials, PnB Rock is the victim, according to The Los Angeles Times. The victim has not yet been identified by LAPD.
While the victim and a female witness were eating during the incident, at least one suspect approached them and demanded “property,” according to Muniz. She was unable to specify the kind of collateral the suspect requested.
After exchanging words with the victim, the suspect shot the latter several times before driving off in a getaway car in an unkown location, according to Muniz.
According to Muniz, the woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she passed away at 1:59 p.m. Nobody is in jail, according to her, and not much is known about the suspect at this time.
Between 2017 and 2019, PnB Rock released two albums, “Catch These Vibes” and “TrapStar Turnt PopStar,” which made waves at the close of the 2010s. Between 2016 and 2019, PnB Rock had eight singles on the Billboard Hot 100, four of which were in 2019.
The rapper from Philadelphia has been on popular songs including “Everyday We Lit” (2017, with rapper YFN Lucci) and “Dangerous” (2018, with rapper Meek Mill and singer Jeremih). On the Billboard Hot 100, “Dangerous” peaked at No. 31, and “Everyday We Lit” reached at No. 33.
He also worked on “Leave Em Alone,” “Cross Me,” and “Chance the Rapper” alongside rappers Lil Baby and the City Girls, vocalist Layton Greene, and Chance the Rapper.
On September 2, he released his most recent song, “Luv Me Again.”
