Oleksandr Usyk has brought in Martin Bakole of Congo’s richest team as he travels to Ukraine for his second match with Anthony Joshua in Jeddah next month.

Bakole, who coaches under Billy Nelson in Scotland, joined the Tyson Fury camp as the WBC heavyweight champion prepares to meet Dilian Whyte in April.

The 29-year-old has now been summoned by WBA champion, IBF and WBO Usyk, who have relocated his training camp to Dubai before the second fight with Joshua in Saudi Arabia on August 20.

“Usyk really appreciates Martin’s talent,” Nelson said Sky Games. “She broke up with him in the UK and before the first AJ war and asked him to return to Dubai on AJ 2.

“Apparently he cares a lot about her.”

Bakole recently raised his profile to be (18-1, 13 KOs) with a grand victory over French gold medalist at Olympic Tony Yoka in Paris, with his only defeat in a match against Michael Hunter in 2018.

After his great victory, Bakole has come a long way in the fight against the heavyweight champion, and Nelson explained: “We are talking right now. Hopefully, there will be news soon.”

Bakole could win the battle against former world champion Joseph Parker, who recently signed a promotional agreement with BOXXER.

Joseph Parker has shown that he has the ability to combine the movement of an invisible hand with the power of destructive force

Parker is currently ranked 4th in the world with Ring Magazine, No. 2 with WBO and No. 3 with WBC following the victories of New Zealander and Derek Chisora in December.

“We would have fought happily for Parker, especially if he had been the head of the world,” Nelson said. “No problem. Let’s make it.”
