We tested the Nothing Phone 1’s camera, even in the rain, and found it to be excellent. Color reproduction, flicker, and image vibration are good. The phone comes with two rear lenses; 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor and 50MP Ultra-wide camera.

We used the lenses in a variety of situations: daylight, daylight, rain, dusk, and artificial lighting. The results were satisfactory to good. The main lens, the 50MP Sony IMX766 one, is a good choice here. There is no image overload. Phone 1 clicks photos in 12MP by default, but you can change it to 50MP, although it will eat up a lot of phone space.
OIS works well but takes 2-3 seconds to click if one is moving. Photos taken with a large lens define the edges properly and distinguish the subject from the background. While it doesn’t quite shine the headlines like the Pixel phone, the No Phone 1 isn’t bad for a UK-based flagship phone.
The Glyph features are more than enough to make good shots in low light conditions. You can control the LED lighting from the camera UI itself, and it can be useful in dark environments.

The 50MP Ultra-wide-angle lens takes great pictures. The 114-view garden creates a large space for people to enjoy. We can see up to 20x but don’t expect much there.

The 16MP selfie lens of the Phone 1 works well and gives you the results you want most of the time. Selfies are great. The OnePlus Nord 2T here is better on the selfie front than the Phone 1.
Overall, No Camera Phone 1 doesn’t disappoint from what we’ve seen so far. It has a dual rear lens but it shines more with three cameras installed in the unit.
