Manchester United are finalizing a deal to sign Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez.

Sky Sports News he understands that negotiations are at an advanced stage and how he pays the negotiations, while what Martinez says is not expected to be a problem.

It is estimated that Ajax are demanding £ 42.3m (€ 50m) for the 24-year-old, who played for United Ten Hag boss Amsterdam.

United have previously stated they will not pay Martinez. Sky Sports News revealed earlier this month that Martinez had told Dutch club he wanted to move to the Premier League.

Arsenal were also interested in the Argentine international players but agreed to give in to their demands, as the Gunners’ performance – and the prospect of playing for Mikel Arteta – attracted Martinez, who decided to move to Old Trafford.

Martinez offers brain, brawn and flexibility

Sky Sports hosted by author Nick Wright:

“Last season, Martinez went 90 minutes longer than any other Eredivisie player, with only two players leading the way in 90 minutes.

“These statistics emphasize Martinez’s ability to play against opposing teams, but he also has the ability to change the game and select his team-mates for long-distance travel.

Voted for Ajax’s best player in the Eredivisie title last season, Martinez stands at 5ft 9ins, making him the lowest midfielder.

“Last season at Ajax, he did better (29) than any other player and won 79 of the 112 victories on the plane, which made him a 71% improvement and put him second to Harry Maguire between Manchester United and Arsenal.

“Martinez can expect to face some of the biggest opposition in the Premier League, of course, but he is also aided by a clear reading of the game.

“These qualities, as well as his versatility and professionalism, make him a very attractive player for Premier League players.”

Man Utd are hoping to sign De Jong

Frank De Jong
Frenkie de Jong joined Barcelona in the summer of 2019 for a fee of £ 65m from Ajax

Manchester United are still hoping to finalize the signing of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who does not want to leave the Spanish giants but is ready to meet Ten Hag, who previously worked for Ajax.

United have a “big deal” with Barca on a fine – he believes it is € 65m (£ 56m) plus operational fees.

Chief Executive Officer Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough have continued talks with Barca officials over the exchange, but the deal is difficult because De Jong has already changed the pay issue. He is thought to be owed £ 17m after cutting pay during the epidemic.

United go on to say that a player who wants to leave Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale.

We are also looking at the best times for Christian Eriksen since joining Brentford in January 2022.

Manchester United are also hoping to finalize the transfer of Christian Eriksen in the coming days.

The Danish midfielder is about to sign a three-year contract at Old Trafford and will officially sign his contract after completing his treatment.

The 30-year-old, who spent the second half of last season at Brentford, worked with Ten Hag while being coached by Ajax as part of his return to football after suffering a heart attack while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020.

United were patient in their search for Eriksen and did not force the midfielder to make a choice, as he understood that his decision could have more to do with football.

Eriksen settled in London with his family in Brentford, but was drawn to the prospect of working under Ten Hag and being part of United’s new era under Dutchman.
