It may feel like we are in the middle of summer, but we still have more than two months for the leaves to start falling and the pumpkins to appear suddenly. In the meantime, I try to spend as much time outdoors as I can – on the beach, on the beach, or in my yard, burning and getting ready to go. No gathering is complete without music, and no matter what happens, I always look for the same tool: my reliable JBL Charge 5. It is not often sold, but if you are looking for the most fun Bluetooth speakers. Prime Day, it’s hard to deal with today’s business.
Since JBL launched its most recent battery bank with Bluetooth speakers last year, everything but stabilized at a cost of $ 180. It would be difficult to justify spending about $ 200 on a speaker, but $ 150 – as it has been written to this day – is easy to understand. Charge 5 was the first tool I reviewed on Android Police when I first started working here, which means it always has a special place in my heart. At the same time, it’s something I use every week – something I can’t say about any Bluetooth speaker I’ve had in the past.
One of my favorite things about this thing comes from its large battery. Although the Charge 5 pulls twice as much as the battery bank, I usually do not turn it on as a way to charge my phone. Instead, a built-in 7,500mAh battery means I can go for several weeks – and use it frequently – without charging. charged almost daily. With Charge 5, they often require more than just a quick upgrade.
Of course, none of that would be a problem if it did not sound right. Luckily, I’m still fascinated by the amount of JBL vocals that managed to get out of Charge 5 little by little, especially when it came to bass. Side-mounted boofers carry a large fist, which you do not see on Bluetooth portable speakers. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t work well with podcasts and other genres where heavy bass is not needed – to be honest, I still haven’t found a sound that doesn’t sound right on Charge 5.
JBL Charge 5 – $ 30 discount
$ 150 on Amazon
With warm weather, I have been turning to this speaker a lot. It was there when I had the July 4 cookout, and I would have tossed it in my bag when I went to my friends’ pool next week. Its water-repellent design means I should not have to worry about bringing it to the beach or anywhere where other speakers will not survive the accidental rain or dunk.
And you do not need warm weather to benefit from it. When I moved into a new house earlier this year, Charge 5 was with me every step of the way. From painting and packing to moving boxes and cleaning to my old home, having a reliable, portable speaker that can move around rooms and locations honestly made the job a lot more fun.
JBL does not sell this very often – in particular, it dropped in its first year on the market. The $ 30 discount may not seem like a huge discount, but it is within the $ 10 minimum, making it a great time for anyone to take one. At $ 150, I don’t think anyone would regret it.
