Do you frequently run into the “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” issue on PancakeSwap?

Many users encounter this issue when attempting to swap tokens on the exchange.

Other decentralised exchanges like Uniswap are also impacted by this issue.

When trying to swap a token on PancakeSwap V2, it’s conceivable that you’ll get the “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” error.

In the prior exchange, the error will occur less frequently or not at all.

This article explains the issue with PancakeSwap’s frequent “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” notice and offers solutions.

Why does PancakeSwap say there is “insufficient liquidity for this deal” over and over again?

PancakeSwap continues saying that there isn’t enough liquidity for this trade because you’re using the more latest version of the exchange.

The exchange’s more recent version (V2) frequently displays the message “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” when you attempt to swap for a token.

PancakeSwap changed from version 1 to version 2 on April 25, 2021.

Unfortunately, the switch from V1 to V2 has resulted in liquidity issues.

It’s likely that PancakeSwap V2 will prevent you from trading older tokens as a result.

Another reason for the notification “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” is your poor tolerance for slippage.
If your slippage tolerance is too low, your order won’t be filled since the price difference is too big.

How to fix the “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” PancakeSwap problem

To overcome “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” on PancakeSwap, use the V1 (old) exchange rather than the V2.

As an alternative, you might want to think about increasing your slippage tolerance to at least 12%.

You often see the “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” notification on PancakeSwap because the token you’re trying to swap does not support the V2 exchange.

If you exchange tokens utilising up-to-date liquidity pools, the error won’t occur.

PancakeSwap V2 is the most recent version of the exchange.

PancakeSwap switched from V1 to V2, which does not support new tokens, therefore you might run into an issue while attempting to swap them.

The following is how to deal with “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” on PancakeSwap.

Use method one, the V1 (old) exchange

The first step in fixing the “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” issue on PancakeSwap is to use the V1 (old) exchange.

Launch PancakeSwap first, and link your money if you haven’t already.

At the bottom of the exchange, a few versions are indicated, including “V2” and “V1 (old)”.

PancakeSwap has two versions: “V1” is an older version and “V2” is the most recent.

Tap “V1 (old)” to access PancakeSwap’s previous version.

A pop-up notice will appear as soon as you tap “V1” old.

The pop-up message states that PancakeSwap V1 is no longer supported.

It also suggests going to the V2 Exchange to find lower prices.

The pop-up message has a checkbox at the bottom.

You should be advised that PancakeSwap V1 is no longer supported and that if you continue to use it, serious slippage may occur.

Tick the box if you agree to the terms.

Select “Continue to V1 Anyway” after that.

When you choose “Continue to V1 Anyway,” PancakeSwap V1 will launch.

This time, you shouldn’t encounter the “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” notice when exchanging your tokens.

Increase your tolerance for slippage with method two.

If the issue message persists after switching to PancakeSwap’s V1 (old) version, increase your slippage tolerance.

Your tolerance for slippage can keep you from occasionally exchanging tokens.

This is so that if the price difference is greater than your tolerance for slippage, your order won’t be filled.

To fix this, launch PancakeSwap and choose the Settings icon.

When you click on the Settings icon, a settings pop-up will display.

“0.1%,” “0.5%,” and “1%” are the three percentages mentioned on the settings pop-up that you can choose from.

For fresh tokens, these slippage tolerances are insufficient.

To fix it, enter “12%” in the field for percentages.

After typing “12%” in the percentage section, you can see an error message indicating that your transaction might be frontrun.

Retry swapping your tokens after closing the pop-up window.

Trading your tokens should go off without a hitch this time.

Alternative methods

You can try a few other methods if the “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” issue on PancakeSwap is still not fixed after using the two aforementioned solutions.

Try a different network first.

For instance, consider disabling Wi-Fi and switching to your mobile network if you’re already utilising it.

If you must use your cell network, consider connecting to Wi-Fi instead.

This could help to solve the liquidity issue.

You might also want to think about unplugging from your VPN if you use one.

The only other choice is to wait it out.

Sometimes the issue is only temporarily apparent, and it will eventually disappear with time.

The tokens you’re trying to swap instead of PancakeSwap are the reason if you’re still having issues.
