According to a woman who claimed that Herschel Walker, a Senate candidate, paid for her abortion in 2009, he persuaded her to terminate a second pregnancy, The New York Times reported on Friday.

When the relationship with Walker ended, the woman—who was seeing Walker at the time—told the newspaper that it was because she objected to the second abortion.

Walker has denied paying for an abortion in 2009 as part of his campaign to oust Democratic incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock. The Daily Beast first the story about that accusation on Monday, in the last days before the Nov. 8 midterm elections.

In response to CNBC’s request for comment regarding the most recent Times reporting, which stated that it was based on a series of interviews with the lady who has remained anonymous, Walker’s Republican team did not immediately answer.

Despite reports from the Times and Daily Beast that the lady is the mother of a son Walker and she had together, Walker has denied knowing who she is.

Walker has already admitted having more children than only his adult son, Christian Walker, on the campaign trail.

Walker has hardly been active in the lives of their now 10-year-old son, according to the unnamed woman who accused Walker of pressuring her to have several abortions, who spoke to the Times. Walker appeared to deny that she was the mother of one of his children when reporters questioned him about it on Thursday, but according to The Daily Beast, Walker had previously acknowledged that she was.

According to the Times, the woman, who has been identified as a Democrat, wants Georgia voters to be aware of how Walker has treated her.

Walker has been hardly present in the lives of their now 10-year-old son, according to the unidentified lady who said Walker had encouraged her to have several abortions, according to a Times report. Although Walker first attempted to deny that this lady was the mother of one of his children when reporters questioned him on Thursday, The Daily Beast claimed that Walker had previously acknowledged that she was.

According to the Times, the unnamed Democratic woman wants Georgia voters to be aware of how Walker has treated her.

“Herschel Walker’s family members all urged him not to run for office because we were all aware of at least some of his background. Each and every one. Christian Walker tweeted on Monday night, “He decided to throw us the middle finger and blow out all of his dirty laundry in public, while also lying about it.

Walker, who is running for the Senate, has advocated for a complete ban on abortion and recently declared that he has “always been for life.”

Friday morning, CNN reported that Taylor Crowe, the Walker campaign’s political director, had been sacked. When CNBC approached campaign representatives to confirm Crowe’s resignation, they did not answer.

Meanwhile, leading Republicans continue to support Walker.

Many of them have stated that they accept Walker’s denials, but some conservatives and associated groups have merely condemned the reports as an attempt to harm the Republican candidate in Georgia.

Walker and Warnock are in a close battle, according to polling averages, and the outcome of the Peach State election might determine which party controls the Senate.

The former president of the United States Donald Trump, who has backed Walker, said in a statement on Tuesday that Herschel has “properly disputed the claims against him, and I have no doubt he is correct.”
