It has also been reported that, on average, some adults spend eight to nine hours a day using technology. This is inevitable due to the proliferation of technology, which makes it acceptable to interact and integrate with devices.

While the appearance of these devices is unavoidable, experts have suggested that preventive measures should be taken to protect the eyes, whose failure can lead to blindness.

Optometrist Physician, Dr. Aikhulegbe Chicky Chukwurah, advised that blue lights on phones and other devices should be turned on regularly to protect the eyes from blue light, which is visible from eye-catching screens.

However, he also noted that long-term communication or electronic devices can lead to computer vision syndrome (CVS), also known as digital eye strain (DES): The use of computers and digital visuals Symptoms include fatigue of the eyes, dry eye, headache, blurred vision, blurred vision, double vision, itching, red eyes and tears, pain in the neck and shoulders.

Dangers of DES

Treatment
