Agricultural legal education

Cass County

Recognizing the vital need for farmers, livestock farmers and other rural people to have strong relationships with the authorities, the Cass County (Minnesota) Farm Bureau supported the local cadet school with their Skills Training Course. CCFB trained and organized the 2021 Agricultural Training Day law class at a technical college with community members.

You are not alone

Daviess County

Daviess County (Kentucky) Farm Bureau partnered with a local hospital to inform the community. “You Are Not Alone” emphasizes the need to connect with others and to seek help.

Due to the epidemic and falling commodity prices, as well as agricultural stress, DCFB decided to help those who provide for our daily needs.

The aim of the program is to reduce stigma by reaching out to people for help and by informing rural people that it is safe to talk to someone when they are suffering. “You Are Not Alone” refers to informing farmers that their mental health is as important and vital as their physical health.

This information was distributed throughout the region through highway signs and radio advertisements.
