AJ Brown defended his quarterback Monday via Twitter after a reporter shared that he had heard that Jalen Hurts had a horrific incident at a group stage in May.
At the time of Sports Take A podcast posted Friday, NFL reporter Derrick Gunn shared that at OTAs he heard the Hurts had dropped three, four times and had been knocked out three times in a 10-match series.
Brown, however, denied the rumors and appeared to be joking.

“Jalen’s actions are false,” Brown said in a tweet. “I’ll send you a tweet believing everything. Just like you can get fired at 7on7 and there are no runners. I hope the water is above us. Trust me again and make a story about this. The program is crazy.”
He too wrote a 10-game series having other entertainment that included him, Donovan McNabb, Terrell Owens and Vince Papale. In a podcast, Gunn said an unnamed source who told him about the 10th drama Hurts “has a way to go.”
The Hurts threw 3,144 yards and 16 touchdowns on the final 61.3% in his 15 games last season. He also ran 784 yards and 10 touchdowns on the way to lead Philadelphia to a 9-8 record as well as a place to stay. Brown was bought by the Eagles in trade with the Titans in April and is not wasting any time defending his quarterback.
